View MoreZinc cut wire shot comes in two types—high-purity and alloyed—and neither contains iron impurities, so workpieces are never at risk of iron contamination. With a specific gravity of 6.7–7.5 g/cm³, both are soft and low in hardness, delivering a gentle impact. High-purity zinc cut wire shot offers very high zinc content and excellent ductility, making it ideal for fine finishing of precision thin-walled workpieces. Alloyed zinc cut wire shot, formulated with an optimized metal ratio, has higher pellet strength, low breakage and superior wear resistance. It provides gentle surface treatment alongside extended cyclic service life, and is applicable to high-volume processing of light-alloy workpieces under heavy-duty operating conditions. This media is compatible with a wide range of shot blasting and peening equipment. Its low-wear performance helps reduce component wear and maintenance costs, extend equipment service life, and improve production efficiency. Workpieces treated with cut zinc cut wire shot come out with a fine, uniform matte finish. During blasting, a dense zinc protective layer forms on the substrate surface, providing electrochemical corrosion protection that keeps semi-finished parts from oxidizing and rusting. It combines multiple advantages including no damage to base materials, excellent protective performance, high processing precision and low operating cost. It stands as the preferred abrasive for small precision parts, thin-walled components and parts requiring high corrosion resistance.
