Serving customers with nearly 30 years of experience
View MoreShot peening has nearly 150 years of engineering application history and has become a core standard process worldwide for extending the service life and improving the quality of components subjected to heavy and high-alternating loads. The process subjects the surface of a metal workpiece to controlled impact from high-speed media, producing uniform plastic deformation in the surface layer and forming a stable, controllable layer of residual compressive stress. This compressive stress layer effectively counteracts the external alternating tensile stress that components experience under service conditions, arrests surface fatigue microcracks and inhibits their further propagation, and fundamentally reduces the risk of failure from metal fatigue fracture, stress corrosion, and fretting wear. Through specialized, customized precision peening processes, the service life and overall structural reliability of critical components can be significantly improved.
This peening-specific cut wire shot is precisely conditioned to form a near-spherical shape. Its impact force is uniform and gentle, effectively eliminating surface scratches, irregular pits, and similar defects on precision workpieces, and fully meeting the surface quality requirements of high-end precision components. The base material has a dense, uniform structure with no porosity or loose impurities, and offers excellent impact toughness, with cyclic durability far exceeding that of conventional cast steel shot. Compared with cast steel shot, which tends to fracture easily under high-speed impact, featuring high consumption and heavy dust generation, cut wire shot mainly suffers uniform surface wear. It exhibits steady particle size reduction and an extremely low breakage rate with less operational dust, enabling standardized shot peening operating conditions with low consumption, high cleanliness and environmental friendliness.
