View MoreCopper cut wire shot, or copper shot for short, comes in two categories—high-purity copper shot and copper alloy shot—and is precision-made from high-purity copper wire. It is an iron-free, environmentally friendly metal abrasive with no iron contamination throughout the process. With a specific gravity of 8.9 g/cm³, the product offers excellent toughness, moderate hardness, and strong impact resistance. Available in cut wire and conditioned forms, it comes in a full range of standard sizes from 0.3 to 2.5 mm, with custom specifications available. The material is extremely stable, so it does not oxidize, discolor, degrade, or shed powder even after long storage or use. The shot particles feature a uniform shape and smooth, burr-free surface. Its high strength and wear resistance make it suitable for continuous operation, helping reduce media consumption and lower production costs. Copper shot is chemically mild and stable. It produces no iron infiltration or rust spotting during processing, and does not trigger electrochemical corrosion with substrates such as copper, aluminum, zinc, stainless steel, or gold- and silver-plated surfaces, making it a safe abrasive dedicated to high-end precision parts and precious-metal components. Compared with zinc shot and aluminum shot, it delivers stronger cleaning capacity and longer service life. Compared with steel cut wire shot, it has a softer texture and will not scratch or deform thin-walled precision workpieces, offering higher processing tolerance. It also causes minimal wear on shot blasting and shot peening equipment, reducing component consumption and equipment maintenance costs. Copper cut-wire shot leaves workpieces with a fine matte finish and a consistent surface texture. It can also deposit a dense copper-rich layer on the surface, helping improve resistance to oxidation and discoloration. No secondary cleaning to remove iron contamination is required after processing, so workpieces can proceed directly to electroplating, painting, anodizing, and other finishing operations.
