View MoreThis product series is manufactured from high-purity aluminum cut wire and aluminum alloy cut wire. Subjected to multiple precision processes: from wire drawing, precision cutting, conditioning, to screening, it is a dedicated metallic abrasive for non-ferrous metal surface treatment. The products fall mainly into two series: 1070 high-purity aluminum shot (Al content ≥99.7%, low silicon and iron) and 5056/6060 aluminum-magnesium alloy shot. At a specific gravity of 2.7 g/cm³, it is far lighter than carbon cut wire shot, easing the load on equipment and reducing wear on components. Hardness is customizable from HV40 to 150, and the material comes in two forms—straight-cut cylindrical and rounded/conditioned—in particle sizes from 0.4 to 2.5 mm.
Aluminum cut wire shot features zero ferrous content. It causes no iron impregnation or rust staining on workpieces, and will not damage the native oxide film of aluminum parts. It is applicable to matte blasting, shot-blast finishing, deburring, and casting sand removal for soft workpieces of aluminum, zinc, copper and magnesium. In practice, 1070 high-purity aluminum cut wire shot is highly ductile and rarely scratches on impact, so it is the go-to choice for precision finishing of thin-walled aluminum parts, aerospace profiles, and electronic components. The 5056 and 6060 alloy cut wire shots bring higher strength and wear resistance and relieve stress in workpieces, making them a fit for automotive aluminum die castings, new energy storage housings, photovoltaic profiles, thick-walled aluminum parts for rail transit and construction machinery. They can also process heavy copper and magnesium alloy castings, stripping thick oxide scale and burrs efficiently—with no iron contamination and no interference with downstream processes such as anodizing and coating.
